Find something you love not a J O B.
When you or your family sit down and write your obituary not much will be mentioned about you job other than maybe they were a hard worker or a good provider so why not find something you enjoy. Truth is we spend more time at work than we do with family or friends.
Finding a job you love can feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but fear not my dear friend, for I have some tips that will hopefully make the search a little less painful.
Firstly, when assessing your skills and interests, don't be too hard on yourself. If your only skill is binge-watching Netflix and your only interest is eating pizza, don't worry! There are plenty of jobs in the entertainment and food industry that could be a perfect fit for you. Who knows, maybe you could become a professional pizza taster!
Secondly, networking can be a great way to find job opportunities, but it can also be a little intimidating. Don't worry, you don't have to be a smooth-talking extrovert to network successfully. Just remember that everyone loves a good dad joke, so try to work a few into the conversation. Who knows, maybe your terrible puns will land you your dream job!
Finally, remember to be open-minded and trust your instincts. But if you're still struggling to find a job you love, just remember that there's always a need for professional cat cuddlers, dog walkers, and ice cream taste testers. And if all else fails, you can always become a full-time TikTok influencer!
Steps to take.
Try new things
The first step to finding your life's passion is to try new things. Go bungee jumping, take a pottery class, or try out for the local community theater production of "Cats". Who knows, you might discover a hidden talent that you never knew you had!
2. Follow your curiosities
Pay attention to the things that you're naturally drawn to. Do you find yourself reading about astrophysics in your spare time? Maybe a career in space exploration is in your future. Or, if you spend hours scrolling through fashion blogs, maybe you have a knack for design. Just be careful not to accidentally end up with a degree in underwater basket weaving.
3. Find a mentor
Find someone who is passionate about what they do and learn from them. You'll be surprised how much you can learn from someone who is passionate about their work. Just be careful not to become too much of a stalker and scare them away! If you don’t know how to find a mentor reach out to us we can help.
4.Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, but it can also help you discover your passion. Whether it's volunteering at a soup kitchen, a animal shelter, or a local museum, you'll be able to learn more about what you enjoy doing and what you're good at. Plus, you might get a free sandwich or two out of it. I volunteer at Give Kids the World and my heart is always full making kids fighting the good fight laugh.
5.Don't be afraid to change course
Sometimes, the path to finding your life's passion is not a straight one. It's okay to change course and try something new. Just don't change your mind too many times or you might end up living in your parents' basement forever!
In conclusion, finding your life's passion takes time, effort, and a little bit of humor. So go out there and try new things, follow your curiosities, find a mentor, volunteer, and don't be afraid to change course. Who knows, you might just find your true calling and end up living your best life!
